Make appointment
All boarding need to make appointment. Prepare at least 2~4 weeks to contact with us because we are usually full (especially holiday )and we need to arrange volunteers to hand over the case
What you need to bring
Basic boarding includes cage, food and water. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
Owner can prepare the towel or clothing which it's using to make them feel comfort
***FOOD: Owner also can bring the diet it's using now to prevent GI upset cause by food changing
Charge and deposit
According to government regulations, non-registered animal boarding facility cannot charge after boarding,
Therefore, the boarding fee will be free. In order to ensure the balance of basic expenditure, there will be a physical examination every day and the fee will be HKD 30 once ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
Extra service
We also provide the service of bathing and nail clipping when the hedgehog is boarding, the price will be:
Bath$60
Nail Clipping$40
Please inform the volunteer before boarding service
About Deposit:
If the hedgehog have emergency during boarding, we will bring it to 24 hours veterinary hospital directly.
- When it happen, we will bring the hedgehog go to the veterinary hospital immediately, and the volunteer will contact the owner on the way and discuss about resuscitation , hospitalisation, etc.
By default, they agree to resuscitation and stay in hospital, but do not do other investigation testing,
- If nothing happen during boarding, we will refund HKD 1000 deposit - - If not agree to be sent to the hospital, please explain to the volunteers before boarding to avoid misunderstandings.
- only Tai Wai Exotic Hospital is 24 hours for hedgehog, so we are not support another clinic
- All expenses must be borne by the owner.
The representatives of our association are helping more hedgehogs and the owners in needed, we understand some people need to leave Hong Kong suddenly because of the family issue ( such as funerals), to less the financial stress in case, we set the charge quite low, hope can help them more and the hedgehog didn't need to stay at home alone in this period of time.
For another capable friends, please understand the difficulties of running the association, we will request add on one red packet ( no fix amount inside) all the money received will be used for the daily operation of the association e.g. the food, medical treatment, etc. Thank you for your support.
Examples of costs:
For example, if you go for 10 days, it will be
HKD 80 anti-parasite medicine + 10 times daily body check (HKD 300) + red packets + HKD 1000 deposit*
Give it to the volunteers when you hand over the hedgehog
We hope that when everyone is able to play, they can also contribute to the abandoned hedgehog in Hong Kong =)
About the hedgehog is sick/have medical history
If the hedgehog are sick or having medication, the association also has experienced volunteers to help them.
But it is important to understand that if they are sick, they are in danger of life at every moment. We hope you understand that they have a chance may go to rainbow bridge during boarding no matter how hard we take care of it.
In addition, because such cases require senior volunteers/vet nurse to do advanced daily checking including: hydration, body condition, mucous membrane etc. and giving medication, there will be extra HKD 50 charge per day, no matter the it need the medication before boarding or we bring it to the vet during boarding and it need medical treatment after that, please be aware :)
* If the weather is good during boarding, the volunteer may bring the hedgehog out let them run outside and take a good picture
* the photo may post in our page
* *Since our volunteers are very busy - their have a official job, need to take care of the sick hedgehogs in the association, handle the adoption and abandonment matters, help to answer the question and solve problems for the owner---we do not provide the any update unless the hedgehog have any problem, thank you for understanding.
